Birthday Party Fun AKA Holy Cow!

So it has taken me forever, but I am finally getting to posting pictures from Isaac's birthday party nearly 3 weeks ago. I've been caught up in quilting mania, and that post is next. The first three pictures show Isaac opening presents--it was a successful year for him! He made the same "WOW" face each time (like below) and then loudly pronounced "Holy cow!" Sitting by Isaac is his buddy from school Sammy.
This year's pinata finally wasn't a disaster. Two years in a row it hasn't worked out, but this year, whew. It started to go wrong when the loop to hang it from came halfway out, but luckily JP was there to save the day; he held it while the kids pulled their ribbons, which actually worked this year. And Paul was quick enough to catch the candy shower with the camera!

Lastly there is the cake. It was a Fantastic Four themed party, but the store where we always get his cake (mmmmm...) didn't have any Fantastic Four decorations, Isaac and I had an impromptu idea of flames going across the cake, like Human Torch, and the Fantastic Four symbol (shockingly, it's a 4). Turned out pretty good!
