A picture of Paul and I that we both just LOVE! Thanks Lorrie for taking so many awesome pictures yesterday! You rock!

Sparkling Apple Cider, I Promise!

He looks like a lush, but he's just enjoying Martinelli's sparkling apple cider for the toast! You can tell the seriousness of getting it down by the fist-hold he has on his glass! I pretty much feel the same way about Martinelli's (and champagne for that matter). We'll just have to come up with lots of reasons to celebrate so we can indulge in some bubbly.

That's Some GOOD Lovin'

Tyler, Isaac and I posing for the camera. Isaac has been a little in love with me lately, but I won't complain for a second! I know his adoration of me and utter sweetness toward me won't last forever, so I'm soaking up every minute of it while it lasts! Look at those handsome boys all dressed up--love it!

Break-dancing Foo'

Here, Isaac attempts to break-dance, something he spent quite a bit of time trying to perfect on "stage" as he called it, at the wedding. Why, might you ask would a 5 year-old boy try to break-dance? Well, Tonya and JP threw their wedding guests a curve ball during the reception. Right in the middle of their first dance together, dancing to a beautiful Nora Jones song, the DJ messed up their music! Or so we thought...As we were all standing there in shock at the DJ's incredible faux pas, JP and Tonya broke into the Evolution of Dance, if you haven't watched the original, check it out at on YouTube by searching for the title "evolution of dance." It's a great laugh, but was even better watching JP and Tonya dance it as their hilarious first dance together!!! Seriously genius idea you two! Truly memorable, loved it!

Dollar Dance

Following East Coast tradition (being from Pennsylvania originally) Tonya and JP did a dollar dance. Isaac was happy to take advantage of an opportunity to dance with Aunt Tonya. The professional photographer took a picture, too. I'm guessing his was way better than mine, but it was still too cute not to post. Who wouldn't want to dance with Tonya, she is the BEST!

Me and my Hubby

Another of my self-taken pictures of Paul and I. Not the best picture, perhaps, but not so bad considering I was holding the camera. Looking pretty good, all dressed up together! Things are changing here at the Soto residence. I FINALLY gave my two weeks notice to the group home. For those of you who may not know, I work like a regular person during week full-time as an interpreter for the deaf. But I have also been working Friday and Saturday overnights for the group home for 5 years now. To give you an idea, that means I've been working 50-60 hour weeks for 5 years. Needless to say, I'm a bit over that schedule and the constraints it puts on my weekends as a person/mom as well as those it puts on us doing things as a family. I hope that leaving the group home will be a new start for me, and for our family. I have big dreams of camping trips, relaxing weekends at home, movie nights and lots of other things. On an everyday basis, I hope that it will help me to be more of the mom I want to be; being less tired I hope will help me to be more patient and enthusiastic. Three cheers for a new life and positive change!

Isaac and his Buddies

Lucky for Isaac, Tonya's sister Jaime has 2 kiddos to be Isaac's buds. Tyler is a little younger than Isaac, Hanna is a few years older. To the right you see Isaac and Tyler hamming it up for the camera. The lovely and slick (?) move you see Isaac doing in the background is courteous of JP. First you put your hand into the sign for "I love you," then you lick your index and pinky fingers and smooth your eyebrows with said wetted fingertips from the inside to the outside. And who wouldn't be thankful for JP to share such a lovely move with their hero-worshiping son? :-)

To the left you can see Isaac and Hanna hanging out at the wedding. Clearly, Isaac has no objections to Hanna giving him a little lovin'. That's my boy, always going for the older girls...

Me and My Boy

Right after the wedding, Paul captured these pictures of Isaac and I. The first is just for show, the second shows our true selves...For those of you who know me, mark November 9th in your calendars, I wore make-up (actually for the second day in a row! Amazing). And for those of you who are dearly concerned that I cannot see, fear not, I am wearing...contacts! Tried them years ago and didn't like them. Tried them for the wedding, and I'm hooked! Go figure. Must admit, I like the second picture better :-)

Handsome, Dapper Dude

Oh my gosh could he look anymore adorable? I love to see Isaac all dressed up, it is way too cute! Paul is to credit for the awesome hairstyle.

The Kiss

There are no words...but YIPEE we did it! What a beautiful couple!!!

Flowers

To the left are Tonya's beautiful jewel studded flowers. They were gorgeous and looked perfect with her dress and complimented the bridesmaids dressesc, despite being incredibly heavy, like all brides' bouquets seem to be. Below are the bridesmaids flowers. Love the orchids!

Hair Up-Do's

To the right is Shoni getting her thick, cooperative hair twisted and tied into her up-do. Below is me getting my hair done, for the second time. The first time a new girl tried to do it, but she was no match for my fine, limp hair, so my hair stylist, Phillip took over and started all over again. But it turned out beautiful, though nothing like what I had requested ;-)

A Wedding! Mani Pedi Day

My dear friend Tonya was recently married and I had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid! These will be a few pictures chronicling the event. I will start with the bride, bridesmaids, and flower girl getting our nails done the afternoon before the wedding. Above you see Shoni (Tonya's life-long friend), her sister Jaime and her niece Hanna. We were all sitting and getting our pedicures--Heaven! The chairs are massage chairs and they take nearly an hour to scrub and massage your feet and legs. Below is the beautiful bride getting her nails done.

Luque Family Reunion

Paul's mom, Martha's maiden name is Luque, and just recently, their family had a reunion in Bisbee. I was working, big surprise, but Paul and Isaac were able to attend. This is a picture of those who attended. Paul's mom is in the red shirt in the middle. His father Alex is in front of her and to the right, wearing a jacket with a black collar. Isaac is in the bottom right wearing his black fleece jacket. Paul is just to the right and behind of his mom. To the left of Paul is his brother Brian, to his right his sister Lorrie and to her right his sister Veronica. The cousins are across the front. From right to left are Isaac, Ashly, Stephanie, Samantha, Daisy and Sarah.

Skeleton Face

Isaac's class earned a Halloween party yesterday. There was face painting, visits and pictures with their buddies, snacks, Halloween music, and fun art projects. All the other students got cute little pictures on their faces, but no, Isaac had to get his whole face! Luckily, it wasn't nearly as hard to get off as I anticipated. Whew! Ooooh such a scary face!

Lego Spaceship

Isaac received this set of Legos as a gift for his second birthday and now they have finally become an interest. He has been making spaceships, nearly daily. This is one of the more amazing ships he has built recently. Thought I'd just share with y'all!

Halloween: Wolverine Strikes!

The ever-looked-forward-to Halloween has come and gone. Isaac had a hard time deciding between Spiderman, Flash and Wolverine. He finally decided on Wolverine, and it turned out to be a good choice, we didn't see a single other Wolverine! As usual, we headed out to Heidi's house to do our trick-r-treating. As usual, I forgot Isaac's candy pumpkin, which is totally useless every single other day of the year. Gee perfect...But Heidi let us use a pillowcase, and Isaac didn't complain or whine a bit. Thanks Heidi! Didn't get any great pictures, it's hard to aim when your LCD screen only shows darkness! But did my best since I was the only one with a camera. Despite complaints regarding the flash I kept taking pictures--that's the dedicated scrapbooker that I am!
Kira was a beautiful fairy, strutting the newly lost tooth! Isaac is now talking of how his teeth are loose ;-) I'm all for the teeth coming out, we want to get on to the adult teeth! Plus, toothless grins are just adorable! Scrapbook opportunity! When we got back first thing we had to do was exchange all the chocolate for non-chocolate candy. For those of you who don't know, Isaac doesn't like chocolate AT ALL! We had lots of fun! Enjoy the pictures!
